CEAT Cricket Awards 2016 conferred

CEAT Cricket Awards 2016 were conferred on the players in a function of 20th edition of CEAT awards at Mumbai on 30 May 2016. Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award.


England batsman Joe Root was named as the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year and also International batsman of the Year 2016 while India’s test captain Virat Kohli was named CEAT T20 Player of the Year.

विश्व भर में 29 मई 2016 को संयुक्त राष्ट्र अंतरराष्ट्रीय शांति सैनिक दिवस मनाया गया. इस दिवस का विषय था – हमारे नायकों का सम्मान.

यह दिवस शांति सैनिकों के योगदान को सम्मान देने एवं उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए मनाया जाता है. इस दिन वर्ष 1948 से संयुक्त राष्ट्र के अधीन कार्यरत 3400 शांति सैनिकों को विश्व भर में शांति स्थापित करने हेतु अपनी जान गंवा देने पर याद किया जाता है.

The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) ARUSH was commissioned on 26 May 2016 by the Coast Guard Commander (Western Seaboard) Additional Director General SPS Basra at Kochi.


The ship has been named ICGS ARUSH that means first ray of sun. ARUSH is the seventeenth ship in the series of twenty Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs), designed and built by M/s Cochin Shipyard Limited.

22 मई: अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस

संयुक्त राष्ट्र (यूएन) द्वारा 22 मई 2016 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस मनाया गया. वर्ष 2016 का विषय है - जैव विविधता को मुख्य धारा में लाना, लोगों एवं उनकी आजीविका का सतत विकास करना.

इस वर्ष के विषय द्वारा जैव विविधता द्वारा विकास पर प्रकाश डाला गया है. संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने भी विशेष रूप से कहा कि 2030 के सतत विकास एजेंडा के लिए जैव विविधता आवश्यक है.

भारत का पहला पुनः प्रयोग किया जाने वाला स्पेस शटल आरएलवी-टीडी श्रीहरिकोटा से लॉन्च किया गया

भारतीय अन्तरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने 23 मई 2016 को पुनः प्रयोग हो सकने वाला स्वदेशी स्पेस शटल (आरएलवी-टीडी) श्रीहरिकोटा (आंध्र प्रदेश) से लांच किया.

इसे सॉलिड राकेट मोटर (एसआरएम) द्वारा ले जाया गया. नौ टन के एसआरएम का डिजाईन इस प्रकार से बनाया गया है जिससे यह धीरे-धीरे घर्षण को सहन करता है.

शटल को लॉन्च करने के बाद व्हीकल को बंगाल की खाड़ी में बने वर्चुअल रनवे पर लौटाने का फैसला किया गया.

सॉलिड फ्यूल वाला स्पेशल बूस्टर इसकी फर्स्ट स्टेज रही. ये आरएलवी-टीडी को 70 किमी तक ले गई. इसके बाद आरएलवी-टीडी को बंगाल की खाड़ी में नेविगेट करा लिया गया. स्पेस शटल और आरएलवी-टीडी पर जहाजों, सैटेलाइट और राडार से नजर रखी गई. इसकी गति ध्वनि की गति से 5 गुना ज्यादा थी, इसलिए लैंडिंग के लिए 5 किमी से लंबा रनवे
बनाया गया.

हाइपरसोनिक फ्लाइट एक्सपेरिमेंट की अवधि 10 मिनट तक रही.



पुनः प्रयोग किया जाने वाला स्पेस शटल

•    यह स्पेस शटल रियूजेबल लॉन्च व्हीकल-टेक्नोलॉजी डिमॉन्स्ट्रेटर (RLV-TD) से लॉन्च होगा. लॉन्च व्हीकल स्पेस शटल को पृथ्वी की कक्षा में स्थापित कर एक एयरक्राफ्ट की तरह वापस पृथ्वी पर लौट आएगा तथा इसे दोबारा इस्तेमाल किया जा सकेगा.

•    6.5 मीटर लंबे हवाई जहाज की तरह दिखने वाले स्पेसक्राफ्ट का वजन 1.75 टन है.

•    इस परियोजना की लागत 95 करोड़ रूपये है.

•    यह अमेरिका के स्पेस शटल जैसा ही है.

•    आरएलवी-टीडी के जिस मॉडल का प्रयोग किया जाएगा, वह इसके अंतिम रूप से 6 गुना छोटा है. आरएलवी-टीडी का अंतिम रूप बनने में 10-15 साल का समय लगेगा.

•    इसका निर्माण थिरुवनंतपुरम स्थित विक्रम साराभाई स्पेस सेंटर में 600 वैज्ञानिकों की टीम द्वारा पांच वर्ष में किया गया.

टिप्पणी

फ़िलहाल किसी भी देश द्वारा इस प्रकार के स्पेसक्राफ्ट का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता. इससे पहले केवल रूस और अमेरिका ने इनका प्रयोग किया है. अमेरिका में इन्हें 2011 में रिटायर कर दिया गया जबकि रूस ने केवल 1989 में इनका प्रयोग किया.

आरएलवी का मुकाबला दो प्राइवेट कंपनियों स्पेस एक्स फाल्कन-9 एवं ब्लू ओरिजिन से है जिन्होंने आंशिक रूप से इस प्रकार के पुनः प्रयोग किये जाने वाले शटल का प्रयोग किया है.

India's first reusable space shuttle, RLV-TD launched from Sriharikota

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 23 May 2016 successfully launched its maiden indigenous winged Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) from Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh.

It was carried up on a solid rocket motor (SRM). The nine-ton SRM was designed to burn slowly to accommodate the vertical lifting of winged body.

After launch from the Sriharikota spaceport, it glided back onto a virtual runway in the Bay of Bengal. The vehicle re-entered the atmosphere after reaching a height of over 70 km.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने 10 मई 2016 को चार गैर-बैंकिंग वित्तीय कंपनियों (एनबीएफसी) का पंजीकरण प्रमाणपत्र रद्द कर दिया.
आरबीआई ने भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक अधिनियम, 1934 की धारा 45-IA (6) के अंतर्गत प्रदत्त अधिकारों का प्रयोग करते हुए यह फैसला लिया.
