Measuring Instruments - II

1.Fathometer :
A depth finder Instrument that uses sound waves to determine the depth of water.

2.Geiger Counter :
Instrument for recording the amount of radiation emitted by a source of radio-activity.

3.Hydrometer :
Instrument used for measuring the density of liquids

4.Hydrophone :
Instrument used for recording sound under water

5.Hygrometer :
Instrument for measuring the moisture content in the atmosphere.

6.Kymograph :
Instrument for recording variations in pressure, e.g. in sound waves or in blood within blood vessels, by the trace of a stylus on a rotating.

7.Lactometer :
Aparatus used for measuring the purity of milk.

8.Manometer :
Instruments used to measure pressure are called pressure gauges or vacuum gauges.

9.Odometer :
Instrument by which the distance covered by wheeled vehicles is recorded.

10.Oscillograph :
Instrument for measuring alternating or varying electric current in terms of current and voltage.
