UIIC Language Proficiency Test

Dear candidates,
This article is most important for those who have qualified the Mains Examination for the post of Assistant in the United India Insurance Company Limited and now going to appear for language proficiency test, for which downloading of call letter will start from 27th November, 2017.

Four Main Steps

Step1: Document Verification

The officials check and verify all your documents like indentity card, mark-sheets, degrees obtained by you, caste certificates. You must use a good-quality executive bag or document bag so that you can organise your documents in proper manner.
In order to avoid chaos during documents verification, aspirants should arrange them in order like:
  • Call Letter Print
  • ID Card/ID Proof
  • Caste Certificate
  • Post Graduate Degree
  • Post Graduate Marksheets
  • Under Graduate Degree
  • Under Graduate Mark Sheets
  • Senior Secondary Exam (10+2) Certificate (if required)
  • High School Exam (10th) Certificate (if required)
You should listen to their instructions carefully and after the certificate-verification, put your certificates back carefully.

Step2: Oral Test

To check how fluently you can speak the regional language, a newpaper of book of the same language is given to you. You are asked to read one or two paragraphs from the paper/book.
Aspirants are advised to practice this at home because sometimes an unfamiliar word can be a barrier in your fluency. You must be familiar with the typical words and their pronounciation as well as their meanings.

Step 3: The Fluency Test

The officials can give you a topic of your choice on which you have to speak for at least 2 minutes or more. Here fluency is judged. So you must prepare some common topics and questions about yourseld and the current events happening around the world. Must prepare questions like Tell us about yourself. Your reasons to join insurance sector. You views on some social issues etc. You must not stop while speaking. Use simple words and short sentences. Do not fumble or stammer. Speak with confidence.

Step 4: Dictation Round

The last step is the dictation round, for which they provide you the white paper to write down whatever they ask you to write in regional language. Sometimes they dictate and you write and sometimes they ask you to write one or two paragraphs on any topic of your own choice or maybe they can give their own topic.

So, these are the four simple steps that you follow during language proficiency test. So don’t worry and deal the language proficiency test patiently.
