•The first BRICS film festival held in New Delhi. Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore inaugurated the festival.

       

•The two-day long "BRICS Convention on Tourism" held at world heritage site Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.

      

• The 11th Summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) concluded in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou. The theme of 2016 G20 Summit was Toward an Innovative, Invigorated, Interconnected & Inclusive World Economy.

     •  Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 14th ASEAN Summit held in Vientiane, Laos.

  

•     The 2-day Indo-US Economic Summit held in New Delhi on September 13.

       

•Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has inaugurated the Onam celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram.

       

•Environment ministers of the BRICS nations will meet in Goa on September 16.

     

•  In Andhra Pradesh, the 3rd BRICS Urbanisation Forum Meet held in the Visakhapatnam.

      

• Vice-President Hamid Ansari will be representing India at the upcoming 17th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held at Margarita Island in Venezuela from September 17-18.
