money markets is that segment of financial markets where borrowing and lending of the short-term funds takes place. The maturity of the money market instruments is one day to one year. In our country, Money Markets are regulated by both RBI and SEBI.

Treasury Bills

Introduction
Treasury Bill are the Important Indian Money Market Instrument.
T-bills are short-term securities that mature in one year or less from their issue date. They are issued with three-month, six-month and one-year maturities. T-bills are purchased for a price that is less than their par (face) value; when they mature, the government pays the holder the full par value.

Important:

T-Bills are Sold by Reserve Bank of India and Issued by GOI.
